We are seeking a Principal Engineer to shape the foundation of our Agentic AI platform. You will own the design of framework-level capabilities, multi-agent orchestration patterns, MCP/A2A integrations, runtime standards, observability, and developer experience. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership and will play a key role in establishing scalable patterns adopted across multiple AI teams and agent implementations. Their most ambitious goal at the time is to introduce a range of Reduced-Risk Products (RRPs). The target audience is more than 1 billion consumers around the globe. IT platform hosts 700+ applications. Intellia’s mission is to help the client with the engineering of a comprehensive software ecosystem for a game-changing IoT product on the margin of innovative consumer experience and cutting-edge technology. Our teams are involved in the engineering of core platform components for best-in-class eCommerce, Digital Marketing and IoT solutions. As a DevOps engineer, you will become a part of Core Architecture Team and be responsible for the architecture, implementation of best practices in our Digital Engineering Enterprise Platform. The Platform is a set of services and internet applications that accelerate the development and delivery of software applications by taking care of common SDLC challenges. The Platform provides access and consumption for engineering teams to a set of services, technologies, practices for their development and for operating their application, ensuring a set of compliance and best practices. Project is in production for 2+ years, being supported by multiple teams.
Our technical domains are: — AWS cloud, partially Azure — SSO, Organizations, Service control policies, access models. — IAAC: terraform enterprise, terratest, chalice — Serverless: lambda, step functions, wide range of misc automations, fargate — System, Application, Network and security architectures — Orchecstration: k8s (eks) — SRE activities (logging, tracing, monitoring), OpsGenie, Splunk — Hashicorp Vault — Hybrid Networking What you will do * Design and maintain scalable AWS network architectures spanning multiple regions and accounts. * Build and optimize cloud connectivity solutions using AWS networking services, hybrid connectivity models, and high-availability routing patterns. * Develop and implement network segmentation strategies to support security, compliance, and traffic isolation requirements. * Enhance and evolve cloud Landing Zone capabilities to enable efficient onboarding and standardized operations. * Integrate secure access solutions and traffic inspection capabilities using Prisma Access technologies. * Ensure network architectures comply with corporate security standards, AWS security recommendations, and industry best practices. * Work closely with security teams to implement zero-trust networking principles and least-privilege access models. * Automate network deployment and configuration processes using Infrastructure as Code and scripting technologies. * Monitor network health, performance, and routing efficiency, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks. * Implement advanced routing policies, route controls, and filtering mechanisms to ensure predictable traffic flows. * Collaborate with cloud, platform, application, and security teams to deliver networking solutions aligned with business objectives. * Participate in architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams. * Contribute to strategic network initiatives, including secure connectivity, cloud onboarding frameworks, cross-region communication, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
What you need for thisCloud Networking & Architecture * 6+ years of experience designing and operating cloud networking solutions, with strong expertise in AWS environments. * Hands-on experience with AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Route 53, and Direct Connect. * Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and network segmentation models. * Experience designing highly available and scalable network environments.
Security & Connectivity * Practical experience with Prisma Access, including GlobalProtect, SPNs, and CANs. * Strong knowledge of network security principles, AWS Network Firewall, WAF, IAM, and secure VPN implementations. * Understanding of zero-trust networking concepts and security-driven routing strategies.
Routing & Infrastructure Automation * Experience working with routing technologies and protocols, including BGP and ECMP. * Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. * Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, and operational improvements.
Communication & Collaboration * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Experience collaborating across engineering, platform, and security teams.
Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with Cloud WAN segmentation, policy-based routing, Transit Gateway integration, and service insertion models. * Background in highly regulated environments with strict compliance and governance requirements. * Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd. * AWS Advanced Networking, PCNSE, or similar industry-recognized certifications. * Previous involvement in large-scale enterprise network transformation initiatives.
