We seek a Junior QA to manually test mobile applications, websites, and control panels.
About the project:
The Mirron project is a 5-year-old initiative in the beauty industry, led by a Japanese chemistry enterprise, targeting salons in West, East, and Southern Africa with future expansion plans. It involves a mobile app/website, admin panel, and backend aimed at distributing Japanese hair products and building a social network to create a vast network of beauty specialists. With over 120,000 users and a high App Store/Google Play rating (~4.7), the project leverages Big Data, CI/CD processes, and auto-testing to enhance productivity. The team values agility and collaboration, avoiding bureaucratic processes while focusing on the best development tactic and long-term strategic planning.
Main responsibilities: * Testing web and cross-platform mobile applications; * DB and API testing; * Regression testing; * Maintain the existing QA documentation; * Communication with developers and a project manager.
Our ideal QA: * Has at least 6 months year of experience in a similar position; * Knows English at the Upper Intermediate level to work with test documentation and write tickets; * Has a good understanding of QA essentials and theory and knowledge of issue-tracking systems; * Has practical skills in manual testing for web applications and API (SOAP/REST); * Understands of HTML + CSS essentials; * Utilizes Postman, DBeaver or any other DB testing tools; * Able to create basic SQL requests (e.g., find duplicates); * Confidently conducts cross-browser and cross-platform testing; * Attentive to details and intolerant of mistakes; * Thinks positively and easily finds a common language with different people, and knows how to work in a team.
Will be a plus: * Ability to check layouts Pixel-perfectly; * Experience with testing complex business flows of corporate-like level projects; * Has solid understanding and hands-on experience in test case design; * Familiar with various testing methods; * Experience in testing multicomponent systems (web services/SQL DB’s/third-party integrations).
