What you will do: — Design and develop high-performance front-end solutions for a growing web product, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and seamless user experience across devices. — Own and evolve the frontend architecture, ensuring it supports rapid development while remaining robust, extensible, and easy to maintain. — Lead the front-end team, fostering collaboration, setting technical direction, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. — Drive technical decision-making, clarifying ambiguous requirements, assessing risks, and proposing impactful solutions under uncertainty. — Take full responsibility for code quality and stability, including ownership over live product performance. — Identify and manage technical risks proactively, communicating them clearly and suggesting actionable solutions. — Balance technical debt and delivery speed, making informed trade-offs based on business impact. — Own the full delivery cycle, from planning and development to testing, review, and deployment. — Mentor and support team members, promoting knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and a collaborative team culture. — Balance UX richness with performance constraints, making smart, user-centric trade-offs when building complex interfaces or handling large volumes of content.
About you: — 5+ years in front-end development: strong expertise in React and TypeScript. Proven ability to build complex, production-ready UIs. — 1+ year in a lead role: experience leading 1–3 engineers, providing code reviews, setting technical direction, mentoring, and owning processes. — Product-focused experience: worked on real B2C products with MVPs, fast iterations, user feedback, and value-driven development. — System architecture and scaling: made key architectural decisions, selected stacks, managed tech debt, and adapted systems to changing needs. — CI/CD setup or maintenance: experience automating builds, tests, and deployments using tools like Vercel, Netlify, or GitHub Actions. — Cross-functional collaboration: comfortable working closely with product, design, and backend teams in a lean setup. — Good command of English.
Nice to have: — Experience with modern web build tools such as Vite. — Familiarity with React Router for dynamic routing. — Knowledge of Server-Side Rendering (SSR) or Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR). — Experience in performance optimization for frontend applications.
