Yalantis is looking for a German-speaking Project Manager to join a hardware product development project.
The project is currently moving toward manufacturing preparation, so part of the role will also involve coordinating activities related to suppliers, technical documentation, BOMs, and production readiness.
We don’t expect you to have deep hardware or procurement expertise from day one. What is more important for us is strong Project Management experience, ownership, structured thinking, and the ability to quickly understand a new technical domain.
Responsibilities: * Manage day-to-day project delivery and coordinate the work of a cross-functional team. * Keep priorities, deadlines, dependencies, and commitments transparent and under control. * Communicate directly with the client, align expectations, and provide regular project updates. * Identify and manage project risks, blockers, and dependencies. * Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and address issues related to ownership, engagement, or missed commitments. * Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear follow-up on action items and decisions. * Maintain project documentation, risk logs, decision logs, and status reporting. * Help improve and structure project processes where needed. * Coordinate manufacturing preparation activities together with engineering teams and the client. * Support the preparation and validation of BOMs, technical documentation, and materials required for manufacturing handover. * Coordinate communication with suppliers and vendors when needed and ensure that relevant information is collected and structured.
Requirements: * 3+ years of Project Management experience in IT, software development, engineering, hardware, IoT, or another technical environment. * Hands-on experience managing cross-functional teams. * Experience communicating directly with clients and managing stakeholder expectations. * Strong understanding of project planning, delivery management, risk management, dependencies, priorities, and scope. * Experience providing feedback and handling team performance, engagement, or ownership issues. * Ability to independently organize work, identify gaps, and build or improve project processes. * Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. * English proficiency at B2 level or higher. * German proficiency at B2 level or higher.
Nice to Have: * Experience with hardware, IoT, embedded, automotive, or physical product development. * Experience working with suppliers, vendors, procurement, or supply chain processes. * Basic understanding of BOMs, technical drawings, datasheets, or manufacturing processes.
