You’ll be the person we bring in when a client says “here’s our problem” and nobody yet knows what should be built.
You’ll sit across from the client’s CTOs, CIOs, product leaders and engineering VPs in early conversations — running discovery, shaping a solution direction, assessing feasibility, sizing the effort, naming the risks honestly, and proving out the key hypotheses with a quick PoC rather than weeks of analysis.
It’s a role for a strong architect with a management consultant’s mindset, who does their best work on problems that are still unclear.
What you’ll do * Lead technical discovery with clients — workshops, deep dives, and the conversations where the real problem surfaces * Shape solution options and explain the trade-offs in terms the client’s business actually cares about * Partner with our sales and delivery teams on scope, estimates, proposals and solution presentations * Build or orchestrate PoCs and prototypes to validate the hypotheses that matter most * Handle technical objections — credible enough to challenge the client’s senior engineers and CTOs, not just answer them * Help grow what we offer as a company — accelerators, standards, practices that outlive a single engagement
What we’re looking for * Fluent English and genuine ease with clients — you can explain the same idea to a CEO and to an engineer and both get it * Direct pre-sales experience — required. You’ve been part of sales cycles: running discovery, shaping scope, building proposals, presenting solutions to clients * 5+ years in senior technical roles (Solutions or Software Architect, Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, or similar) * A track record with large, complex production systems where architectural decisions had real consequences * Breadth across cloud, distributed systems, integrations, data, security and modern software architecture — with the instinct for where to dig deeper * Still hands-on enough to open the code, run a spike, and see for yourself
How you work * You start with the problem, not the technology — and you’ll push back on a client who’s asking for the wrong thing * You ask why before you ask how — why this, why now, what happens if they do nothing, who actually feels the pain, what they’ve already tried, what success looks like * You move fast on unclear problems: within a day or two you’ll have talked to the right people, named the key unknowns, formed a hypothesis and run something quick and imperfect to test it — rather than opening a Jira epic and analyzing for three weeks * You use AI in your own work and keep experimenting with new tools and approaches — and you can tell where LLMs and agents genuinely help from where they’re added because everyone else is doing it
Why this role * We think this kind of profile is rare, and we’re ready to pay accordingly * You’ll be one of the most influential people in the company, with real impact on the decisions we make about the business * You’ll work in a lean structure, in a small group of people who are actively looking for ways to improve the business — our offering, services and products
