About the project:
XBO is a crypto and fiat exchange built for two very different audiences: retail traders who want to move money without friction, and institutions that need liquidity, custody, and payment infrastructure they can rely on.
We are regulated, we are growing, and we are rebuilding the brand from the ground up.
The creative team is small, senior, and ships fast. There is no agency layer between the idea and the work.
The role:
You will own motion at XBO. That means brand films, product explainers, paid social, launch campaigns, UI animation, event content, and the 3D and design system work that holds it all together.
You will not be handed finished storyboards and asked to animate them. You will be in the room when the idea is formed, and you will be expected to have an opinion about how it moves.
What you will do:
• Produce motion work across brand and performance — from 15-second social cuts to longer-form brand films;
• Animate product interfaces and feature releases so they look like the product actually works;
• Take briefs from concept to delivery: storyboard, animatic, design, animate, sound, master for every required format;
• Build and maintain a motion language for the brand — timing, easing, transitions, type behaviour,
so everything we release looks like it came from the same place;
• Work with 3D assets and rendered scenes as part of the visual system;
• Adapt master assets into full delivery sets across paid social, web, app, email, and event screens;
• Work directly with designers, copy, product, and performance marketing on live campaigns;
• Use AI generation tools where they speed up production, and know where they do not.
What we are looking for:
• At least 3 years in a motion design role, in-house or agency;
• Proven expertise in AI video creation — you have shipped real work made with tools such as
Magnific, Kling, Veo, Sora, or Higgsfield, and you know how to prompt, direct, and edit generated
footage into something that holds up on brand;
• Expert command of After Effects and Premiere Pro;
• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills — Illustrator, Photoshop;
• Working knowledge of Figma and how to take design files into motion without breaking them;
• 3D experience in Cinema 4D or Blender, with rendering in Redshift, Octane, or Cycles;
• Understanding of sound design and how audio changes the read of a cut;
• Ability to master and deliver across every platform spec without being chased for it;
• Comfort working to a brand system rather than around it;
• English at a professional working level.
Nice to have:
• DaVinci Resolve, Lottie or Rive for UI and web animation;
• Background in fintech, crypto, trading, or another regulated category;
• Illustration, sketching, and design presentation skills.
