At nove8, we create and scale subscription-based mobile products that improve people’s lives and the lives of their pets. As a Legal Counsel, you’ll become a trusted legal partner for product, marketing, operations, and leadership teams, helping us grow responsibly while staying compliant across key markets.
What you’ll do Provide Legal Guidance Across the Business * Advise product, marketing, operations, and other teams on GDPR, IP, IT, employment, consumer rights, and regulatory matters. * Identify legal risks and provide practical recommendations that support business goals while ensuring compliance.
Draft, Review & Negotiate Contracts * Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including service, partnership, agency, licensing, distribution, and vendor contracts. * Support business stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
Support Mobile App Operations * Maintain the full legal framework for our mobile applications. * Draft and update Terms of Use, Privacy Policies, Cookie Policies, and other user-facing legal documents. * Ensure compliance with consumer protection and subscription regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Monitor Regulatory Changes * Stay up to date with developments in data protection, intellectual property, marketing, payments, consumer rights, and technology law. * Translate regulatory changes into actionable recommendations for internal teams.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally * Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Leadership teams. * Help balance legal requirements with business objectives in a fast-paced product environment.
What We’re Looking For ✔️ 2–3 years of legal experience supporting digital subscription businesses, SaaS, mobile apps, or technology companies. ✔️ Strong knowledge of: * GDPR and privacy regulations; * Intellectual Property law; * Consumer protection requirements; * Product development and digital business considerations.
✔️ Experience working with international jurisdictions, particularly across North America and Europe. ✔️ Ability to explain complex legal concepts in a practical, business-friendly way. ✔️ Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have * Experience supporting subscription-based mobile products. * Knowledge of advertising and marketing compliance. * Additional European languages (e.g. Polish). * Experience working in a fast-growing product company.
