As a Senior Email Deliverability Specialist, you’ll own the health, performance, and scalability of our email infrastructure. This role is focused on deliverability, troubleshooting, experimentation, and platform research rather than traditional CRM or content marketing. You will work closely with founders, email marketing teams, and technical stakeholders to improve inbox placement, optimize sending strategies, and build scalable email operations across multiple platforms.
This is a highly autonomous role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, identifying patterns in large datasets, and discovering new ways to maximize deliverability and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Own email deliverability across multiple platforms, domains, and sending environments
* Monitor sender reputation, inbox placement, complaint rates, engagement signals, and ISP-specific performance
* Investigate deliverability issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
* Design and execute domain and IP warm-up strategies
* Research, test, and validate new email platforms, sending environments, and infrastructure approaches
* Develop segmentation, suppression, and list hygiene strategies to maximize long-term performance
* Analyze large volumes of sending data to identify patterns, risks, and optimization opportunities
* Build and maintain testing frameworks across deliverability, engagement, and sending strategies
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve email performance across multiple brands and projects
* Contribute to the development of scalable email infrastructure and future email initiatives, including cold email programs
Requirements
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, email operations, or deliverability-focused roles
* Strong deliverability expertise, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, sender reputation, inbox placement, domain/IP management, and ISP-specific behavior
* Experience managing multiple domains, brands, or email programs simultaneously
* Proven experience troubleshooting deliverability issues and improving email performance at scale
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify patterns and build actionable hypotheses
* Experience with email warm-up strategies, sender reputation management, and list hygiene programs
* Ability to independently research new platforms, technologies, and solutions
* Experience with newsletter platforms, ESPs, or cold email tools
* Excellent English communication skills (C1+)
Nice to Have
* Experience in affiliate marketing, lead generation, performance marketing, or media businesses
* Experience with Beehiiv, Ghost, Smartlead, Instantly, Mailgun, SendGrid, Amazon SES, or similar platforms
* Familiarity with Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, and deliverability monitoring tools
* Experience building cold email infrastructure
* Experience with workflow automation tools such as Make, Zapier, or n8n
