About the Role
We are building next-generation digital banking products for the EU market and are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help shape and deliver secure, scalable, high-performance iOS applications used by thousands of customers daily. This role is intended for an engineer who can go beyond feature delivery: someone who can influence architecture, improve engineering standards, mentor other developers, and help drive the technical direction of the iOS platform in a complex FinTech environment. You will join a small, senior mobile team working on a large-scale enterprise product where technical excellence, product quality, security, and customer experience come first.
About You * 7+ years of hands-on experience developing native iOS applications. * Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale iOS applications in complex, secure, or distributed environments. * Strong Swift expertise and deep hands-on experience with UIKit. * Solid understanding of modern iOS architecture, including MVVM, modularization, dependency boundaries, state management, and long-term maintainability trade-offs. * Experience maintaining and evolving long-living production applications without relying on full rewrites. * Experience owning or significantly influencing architecture decisions, technical standards, and engineering practices. * Strong understanding of iOS platform fundamentals, including lifecycle, navigation, concurrency, memory management, persistence, networking, and app performance. * Strong awareness of mobile security, privacy, reliability, accessibility, and UX quality. * Experience integrating iOS applications with backend services such as REST, GraphQL, or gRPC. * Solid understanding of unit, UI, integration, and contract-level testing strategies. * Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed, code review, refactoring, testing, or documentation quality. * Comfortable working in Agile product teams and collaborating closely with product, design, backend, QA, and other mobile engineers. * Strong communication skills and excellent command of written and spoken English.
Nice to Have * Production experience with SwiftUI, Combine, or async/await-based architecture. * Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and shared mobile modules. * Experience working in high-security industries such as banking, payments, identity, or insurance. * Background with Apple Pay, card payments, tokenization, card authentication, 3D Secure, or similar payment flows. * Familiarity with mobile security best practices such as secure storage, encryption, certificate pinning, biometric authentication, PCI DSS, and secure networking. * Experience with CI/CD, Fastlane, build automation, code signing, release automation, or mobile observability tools. * Experience with modularization, incremental modernization, or migration from legacy UIKit codebases to newer architecture patterns. * Experience mentoring developers, leading technical initiatives, or driving cross-team engineering improvements.
What You Will Do * Develop and maintain high-quality FinTech iOS applications used across the EU market. * Drive architecture decisions, technical direction, and tooling strategy for the iOS domain. * Improve modularization, code quality, testability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability of the application. * Maintain and evolve UIKit-based features while supporting gradual modernization where it brings clear value. * Define, promote, and evolve coding standards, architecture guidelines, best practices, and development processes. * Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, security, and other mobile engineers to deliver features end-to-end. * Ensure strong security, privacy, performance, accessibility, reliability, and user experience across mobile features. * Contribute to CI/CD, testing strategy, automation, release quality, and observability improvements. * Mentor developers, participate in technical reviews, and help raise the overall engineering maturity of the team. * Proactively identify architectural risks, legacy pain points, technical debt, and opportunities for platform-level improvement.
