Ciklum is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role: As a Senior Business Analyst, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Our team delivers browse capabilities from conception to operation. You will collaborate with architects, data analysts, digital analysts, product owners, software developers, technology leads and UX/UI designers to clearly define, document and communicate requirements that will enable implementation of new changes and enhancements to digital platforms in an agile manner.
You’ll be responsible for evaluating solution options, consulting with stakeholders to articulate business needs in a way that enables design and delivery of technical solutions across global platforms and services. You’ll manage the requirement lifecycle from planning through to elicitation, testing, delivery, and business acceptance.
Responsibilities: * Analyze capability gaps within client organization or pain points for target market. Suggest improvement methods and appropriate solution options * Identify and define business needs and goals, outline stakeholders’ impact and outlook * Collaborate proactively with business stakeholders, project managers, and teams to reach a common understanding of the solution * Manage requirements communication, considering project specifics and stakeholder preferences * Moderate meetings and workshops * Manage solution scope, detect and track changes, resolve conflicts and issues * Prioritize requirements, manage allocation, and define quality attributes including external interfaces and constraints * Interact with product manager on product strategy and target market segments * Evaluate and continuously improve business analysis processes, follow requirements lifecycle processes * Mentor other analysts, organize knowledge sharing and training sessions, contribute to corporate knowledge base * Monitor solution implementation, manage solution acceptance criteria, and conduct acceptance processes * Act as a bridge between technical stakeholders and business users, translating needs into scalable backend solutions * Apply systems thinking to help stakeholders understand backend system behaviors and integration points * Identify upstream/downstream service dependencies and assess impact of backend changes across the ecosystem * Collaborate across teams to assess API changes impact on other systems and services * Work with architects on schemas, Business Object Model (BOM), and assist in documentation and sequencing * Analyze and interpret API documentation, endpoint definitions, and JSON structures * Define functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness * Define data mappings and service interactions between internal and external systems * Validate requirements related to authentication, security standards, and API consumption patterns * Define clear, testable, and traceable technical requirements for implementation and QA * Use tools such as Postman, Swagger UI, GraphQL playgrounds, or similar to inspect and test APIs * Translate business and stakeholder needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria * Lead refinement ceremonies and contribute to other agile ceremonies * Promote iterative delivery, MVP thinking, and continuous feedback loops * Collaborate effectively with technology and product teams, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication
Requirements: * 3+ years in business analysis or product management, including defining solutions from idea to production * 3+ years of IT industry experience, including collaboration with clients abroad * Experience with web product development * Familiarity with modeling techniques such as sequence diagrams, BPMN, or UML * Strong experience with requirements elicitation: workshops, gap analysis, process mapping, functional specifications * Proficient with requirements lifecycle tools (JIRA, Confluence) and prototyping tools * Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile environment * Skilled in business process modeling (BPM), UML, test/use cases, prototyping, Gherkin approach * Strong problem-solving mindset, analytical skills, and ability to simplify technical concepts * Excellent verbal and written English communication skills * Commercially aware and customer-focused * Proven ability to translate technical architecture into requirements and user stories * Understanding of non-functional requirements in software development * Experience working in Agile environments, using different frameworks * Awareness of IT industry and digitalization trends * Knowledge of business process optimization approaches * Security-aware, embedding secure behaviors in work * Passionate about quality, performance, and scalability * Experience with detailed functional specifications and systems design deliverables
Desirable: * Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar * Business education * Knowledge in at least one domain: finance, accounting, media, travel, logistics * Knowledge in product management best practices * Experience in training development and conduction * Relevant certifications: IIBA CCBA/CBAP, OMG UML, OMG BPMN, PMI-PBA, Pragmatic Marketing
