Position Overview: We’re looking for a Legal Data Privacy Specialist to strengthen our Privacy & Compliance team. This role focuses on helping clients build and implement privacy programs and documentation, particularly around GDPR and other global regulations.
If you also bring experience or curiosity in information security frameworks (like ISO 27001 or SOC 2), that’s a huge plus, but not a must. You’ll be supported by our legal and technical teams as you grow in this area. What We’re Looking For: * 2+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or related roles. * Strong knowledge of GDPR and other major frameworks (e.g., UK GDPR, CCPA). * Experience in creating privacy strategies, performing gap assessments, and advising on data processing activities. * Experience in the coordination of multi-jurisdictional compliance tasks. * Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new regulations and technologies. * Skilled in managing cross-border compliance. * Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Bonus Points: * Knowledge of InfoSec best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, risk management). * Certifications: CIPM, CIPP/E, ISO 27001 Lead, etc. * Experience in privacy tech tools and compliance automation. * Experience of cooperation with EU-based companies (as inhouse specialist or external consultant) which obtained ISO2700
✨ What You’ll Do: * Act as Strategic Advisor: Guide clients on GDPR and global privacy strategy, while offering key insights on information security posture. * Build Privacy Frameworks: Design policies, procedures, and documentation for scalable legal compliance. * Draft & Review Privacy & Security Documentation: Prepare data protection policies, DPIAs, security assessments, vendor risk evaluations, etc. * Align Legal & Tech Teams: Coordinate with engineers, InfoSec pros, and external experts to align privacy with security compliance. * Educate & Support Clients on Risk: Help clients understand and manage both privacy and InfoSec risks. * Design and Document Workflows: Create structured workflows for repeatable compliance tasks to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across client projects.
